Role

Insight Systems Corporation has an exciting and challenging position for an experienced performance and automation tester on a large USAID applications operations & maintenance (O&M) contract.

Responsibilities

• Write Technical Performance Test Plans.
• Develop Performance and Automation Data Driven Scripts.
• Establish and maintain the automation and performance and load testing environment.
• Participate in the creation, implementation and continual improvement of testing standards, processes and procedures.
• Create Silk Performer and Silk Test or LoadRunner and Quick Test Professional (QTP) script and scenarios.
• Analyze, document in reports, and brief client on performance and automation testing findings.
• Use performance tools to design and execute load and performance tests against Web applications, web sites on Oracle and SQL Servers.

Key Qualifications

• Ability to setup Performance/Load and Automation Test Environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes of performance issues and provide recommendation for their resolution.
• Experience with configuration of testing tools on Oracle Application Server and Database Servers to capture performance metrics.
• Working knowledge/understanding of:
  • Performance bottlenecks and end-to-end performance web performance measures (server response time, throughput, network latency, etc…)
  • Web protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, and DNS.
  • Application architecture (i.e., system components and interrelationships relative to performance testing).
  • Web page composition (static vs. dynamic elements, browser behavior).
• Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
• Ability to learn and understand application business functions and process to effectively automate scripts and conduct performance testing.
• Understanding of networking and web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, jsp, asp, Flash, etc.
• Ability to setup performance tool to monitor network latency and bandwidth from slow connecting workstations and server.
• Well organized and detail oriented, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work well with others.
• Willing to work flexible schedule in order to gather the data from long running tests or overseas mission testing.
• US citizenship and Federal security clearance eligibility is required.
• Borland SilkPerformer, Silk Test, and other (LoadRunner / Quick Test Professional) certifications are a plus.
• B. S. degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 to 5 years hands on SilkPerformer and Silk Test or LoadRunner and Quick Test Professional experience (Borland / HP product) or equivalent.
