The Digital Media Producer will work within the Communications Portfolio to raise the profile and advance the learning and knowledge sharing objectives across various USAID programs and initiatives. This position will oversee all aspects of production for assigned in-house and out-of-house produced media projects. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in producing Web video content for informational, training and/or entertainment purposes as well as experience producing other multimedia products. Candidates must possess a high level of creativity and ingenuity and have an expert ability to lead and manage projects as assigned.


    • Oversee, produce, direct and edit created content for assigned projects within budget.
    • Assist in the development, planning and implementation of a digital media strategy to further the visibility and community engagement goals of the project.
    • Manage digital media work plan and deliverable calendar. Ensure that high-quality work is delivered on time.
    • As needed, assist to produce, direct and edit content from live webinars and other remotes as requested from other project teams.
    • Write and edit show scripts and show notes as required.
    • Manage outside vendors and contractors, as needed.
    • Consult with clients to book and manage contributors and other guests, as needed.
    • Work with various in-house teams to book and manage shoot-times and locations.

    As needed, work with the Senior Graphics Designer and other creative team members to produce other multimedia project.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ experience producing Web video content, including direct project management responsibility.
  • Strong ability to turn abstract concepts and messages into compelling visual storytelling.
  • High proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite products.
  • Familiar and confident with camera operation.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management across the organization; experience working with government agencies a plus.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Relevant advanced degree.
  • Approval to work in the United States.
