Database Developer

Responsibilities

The duties for this position may include, but are not limited to:

• Support the design and implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions developed in Tableau and other tools and services in the Microsoft Azure environment.
• Design, upgrade, and improve data warehouse schema and other semantic BI data sources.
• Design and develop ETL data functions to transfer organizational data into data warehouse environments.
• Develop and tune complex SQL queries for enterprise reports and dashboards.
• Code advanced SQL for Database Views and Stored Procedures.
• Resolve highly complex issues, conduct advanced research, and recommend innovations.
• Provide technical support and assistance to other team members.
• Assume the role of task coordinator on complex tasks support by multiple work teams.

Key Qualifications

The candidate for this position should hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Systems or a related field or have gained experience equivalent to this educational requirement.

In addition to the above educational requirements, the candidate for this position must also have:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience developing and maintaining databases and reports
• Experience as a BI or enterprise reports developer
• Experience in enterprise database or data warehouse design and development
• Experience with developing automated data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
• Working knowledge of BI technologies, preferably including SQL Server and Tableau/Power BI
• Experience in developing complex SQL queries
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team
• Good communication skills
